Racing Club Announces Sponsorship Of Two Rising Jockeys

We are delighted to announce that we have agreed to sponsor two of flat racing’s rising star jockeys – Joshua Bryan and Eddie Greatrex.

Joshua Bryan is well known to Racing Club, having ridden RC Syndicate horses Dunstan, Letmelivemylife and Brodie’s Boy. He’s also ridden VIP Syndicate horses Dayzee, Bueno Nacho and Jake Loves Laura, and regularly rides out our horses at Newlands Yard in Upper Lambourn.

The 25-year-old’s first-ever winner came back in 2017, and he’s continued to ride plenty of winners year after year since. Two of Joshua’s biggest wins have been riding Johnny Drama to victory in the John Smith’s Cup Handicap in 2021, plus riding Shartash to a game win in the Spring Trophy Stakes in April this year. He is on course to have one of his most prolific seasons to date, having ridden 15 winners so far this year and finishing in the top four on over half of his rides this season.

Eddie Greatrex has made a welcome return to the saddle this year, having previously retired in 2021 due to a persistent back injury. Eddie is another jockey who has experience on board our horses, having ridden RC VIP Syndicate horse Blue Sky Boy at Kempton earlier this month.

The 26-year-old has ridden over 200 winners since riding his first winner back in 2015, and following a three-year break from professional racing, he’s returned this year and is on course to record his best strike rate for winners this season. Eddie’s biggest wins to date include riding Musaddas to victory in the Balmoral Handicap on Champions Day at Ascot in 2015, as well as Listed winners in France and the UK.

Racing Club co-founder Richard Jaques commented “We are delighted to be sponsoring both Joshua and Eddie, two excellent jockeys who seem to be improving year on year. We’re pleased to see Eddie back in the saddle and he’s proved already that he is a fantastic jockey, and the same goes for Joshua too. We’re proud to sponsor both jockeys, and we look forward to watching their careers progress.”
