Unknown Journey had another promising run at Chelmsford on Saturday, in a race that saw him finish six lengths off the winner behind some promising runners.
Sent off as a 100/1 outsider for the race, he flew out of the stalls and quickly got to the front, leading the field through the early stages. He continued to lead up until they hit the home straight, where he began to tire and saw him overtaken by some classy-looking horses. Despite tiring and finishing tenth, he only finished six lengths off the eventual winner Elements Of Fire, in a race that looks sure to throw up plenty of winners.
Trainer Paul Attwater reported the following morning:
“Unknown Journey came out of his race well, ate up his breakfast this morning and trotted up sound. I was delighted with his run, it was a tough-looking race and he ran well against some promising rivals from major yards. I think we’re going to have plenty of fun with him moving forward.”
With this race under his belt, Unknown Journey is sure to improve and we look forward to seeing him in handicap races moving forward.
