Lightningboltzoom is an exciting recruit to our VIP Syndicate options, who has been given a lenient handicap mark after his three runs in 2024 and looks set for an exciting 2025 campaign. Trained by Paul Attwater at Newlands Stables in Upper Lambourn, we’re looking forward to watching his career progress and we’re predicting a bright future ahead for this promising gelding.
The four-year-old gelding has an impressive pedigree, having been sired by four-time Group 1 winner Cracksman, who was an elite performer over 1m 2f – 1m 4f, so we’re hopeful Lightningboltzoom will improve once stepped up in distance. There is also plenty of pace coming from his dam’s side, with his dam’s sire Dark Angel one of the leading sires of sprinters. He was a high-class horse himself, having won both the Mill Reef and Middle Park Stakes before retiring to stud aged two.
Having made a promising debut at Chelmsford in August 2024, he stepped up in class at Lingfield next time out, finishing third, before another encouraging effort at Southwell in November. He made a pleasing handicap debut last time out, finishing runner-up behind a well-handicapped rival and with that run under his belt, he should be visiting the winners’ enclosure soon enough.

There are a maximum of 10 shares available in Lightningboltzoom, each share purchased equates to 10% shareholding in Lightningboltzoom. The £5,000 share price is inclusive of all costs – there will be nothing additional to pay for the duration of the syndicate term.
The Syndicate Term for Lightningboltzoom will end on 31st January 2026.
You will be a shareholder within RC VIP Syndicate IV.
