Bosh Soldier Not Seen To Best Effect At Wolverhampton – Race Report

Having shown promise at the venue on her previous start, Bosh Soldier was unable to continue the progression on Saturday 20th December.

Bosh Soldier was sent off at 50/1 against seven rivals, she broke well and settled just worse than midfield, travelling comfortably through the early stages. As the tempo increased around three furlongs from home, Tyler Heard began to push her along in an effort to mount a challenge, but she was outpaced and unable to make any impression in the closing stages.

After the race, jockey Tyler Heard gave us his verdict on the performance:

“She broke well and stuck at it all the way through. I think she will stay a mile and a quarter and you could make plenty of use of her. She is improving slowly and keeps going to the line.”

Trainer George Boughey reported following the race :

“We will see how she comes out of this race before making a plan. I am not sure she actually saw out the trip that well and it will be interesting to see how the sectionals read. ”

Unfortunately, Bosh Soldier was unable to build on her previous promising run, but we hope she can bounce back next time. Her owners nevertheless enjoyed a festive evening at Wolverhampton, and we look forward to many more good days on course ahead.
