Dayzee started her hurdling career with a hugely promising third-place finish in less than ideal conditions on the 21st October at Plumpton.
Dayzee started off towards the rear of the field and grew in confidence throughout. Her jumping sharpened up as the race progressed, becoming far more fluent and assured. Turning for home, she stayed on well, passing a couple of rivals to claim third. This was a display full of promise and one that offered plenty to look forward to.
Assistant Trainer Charlie Pike reported following the race:
“She is absolutely fine after the race, She has run a blinder considering the conditions. There was standing water on the track, opposite conditions of what’s she likes. Still a cracking run, a little bit green early on. When she found her rhythm she popped away nicely and gave Gav a nice feel going round, he thinks she will make a really nice summer jumper. Really pleased with her and overall a very good day.”
