Arriving by Car

Haydock Park Racecourse is conveniently situated between Liverpool and Manchester, approximately one mile from Junction 23 of the M6.

Visitors should enter the racecourse from the A49 via the main racecourse drive. The Golborne and East entrance may also be open on racedays. Enter WA12 0HQ into your sat nav and follow the event signage when approaching the racecourse.

Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis, with more than 1,000 spaces available. Blue Badge holders can use the allocated accessible parking spaces situated closer to the racecourse entrances.

Arriving by Train

Newton-le-Willows is the nearest railway station to Haydock Park Racecourse. The station is served by trains running between Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Victoria, Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street.

For visitors travelling on the main London to Glasgow railway line, Warrington Bank Quay and Wigan North Western are the nearest principal stations. Both are approximately eight miles from the racecourse.

Arriving by Bus

Warrington’s Own Buses operates a dedicated shuttle service between Newton-le-Willows railway station and Haydock Park Racecourse.

The shuttle runs at all Haydock Park racing fixtures apart from music nights. Current fares are £3 for a single journey or £5 for a return journey.

Where to Get Tickets

Tickets can be purchased online before your visit. Advance booking is recommended to secure the best available price and avoid disappointment, particularly for major racedays and live music fixtures.

Depending on availability, tickets may also be purchased at the racecourse on the day. Visitors should check the relevant fixture page before travelling, as admission arrangements and available enclosures can vary between events.

Children aged 17 and under receive free admission to most Haydock Park events. Exceptions include Premier Lounge admission on standard racedays and all admission on music nights. Child tickets should be added when booking the accompanying adult tickets.

All visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult aged 21 or over, with a maximum of three children permitted per adult. Children aged 15 and under must remain under adult supervision while inside the racecourse.

Haydock Park offers accessible parking, accessible viewing areas, lifts, accessible toilets, lowered service counters and induction loops. Eligible visitors can also apply for complimentary admission for a personal assistant.

Haydock Park Racecourse Enclosures

Grandstand & Paddock

The Grandstand & Paddock is Haydock Park’s largest enclosure. It offers excellent views of the racing from the Makerfield Grandstand, including raised viewing areas and a seated viewing section.

Ticket holders can access the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure, along with a wide selection of bars, food outlets and betting facilities. During the summer, visitors can also enjoy the informal outdoor lawn area.

County Enclosure

The County Enclosure is positioned opposite the Winning Post and provides access to facilities within the Centenary Stand, including bars and refreshment areas.

Visitors have access to seated and standing viewing areas, as well as the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure before and after each race.

Premier Lounge

The Premier Lounge offers an upgraded raceday experience with premium views overlooking the track and Winning Post.

The lounge includes a private bar, betting and catering facilities, casual unreserved seating and access to a dedicated viewing balcony. Premier Lounge badge holders can also use the facilities within the County Enclosure.

Hospitality

Visitors looking for a premium experience can choose from Haydock Park’s restaurant packages and private hospitality boxes. Packages can include racecourse views, dining, table service and access to private bars and betting facilities.

What to Wear

Haydock Park does not operate a strict general dress code and encourages racegoers to come dressed to feel their best.

Some visitors may prefer a smart suit, dress or heels, particularly for major racedays, while others may feel more comfortable in jeans, clean trainers or a sweatshirt. Whatever you choose, make sure your clothing is comfortable and suitable for the weather.

Fancy dress is permitted within the Grandstand & Paddock, provided it is not offensive, inappropriate or likely to cause disruption. Visitors are asked not to wear football shirts, team kits or colours.

Food and Drink

Haydock Park offers a variety of bars, cafés and mobile food outlets across its enclosures. Available options can vary between fixtures but generally include hot meals, sandwiches, pies, fish and chips, snacks, tea, coffee and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Food and drink facilities can include the Sports Bar, Sprint Cup Bar, Champagne Bar and outlets around the Paddock and Makerfield Lawn. Additional concessions may also be available at larger meetings.

Haydock Park operates mainly as a cashless venue for food, drink and other purchases. Cash can still be used when betting with the Tote and on-course bookmakers.

Visitors cannot bring alcohol into the racecourse. Picnics are normally only permitted on designated family fun days, so check the information for your chosen fixture before travelling.
