Blue Sky Boy is a talented 3-year-old gelding in training with Paul Attwater at Newlands Stables in Upper Lambourn. After making a promising debut, the team are confident he has an exciting future ahead of him.
He has a striking pedigree, having been sired by the Group 1 winner Dark Angel, who has sired the likes of Battaash, Charyn and Khaadem. His dam Silent Moment was a two-time winner herself too, and his half-brother Reach High is a two-time winner, so if his pedigree is anything to go by, he should have a big future ahead of him.
His debut effort was full of promise, finishing fourth after attempting to make all under jockey Callum Shepherd. He did best of those who were making their debut and only tired during the final stages, so with that run under his belt, he is sure to put that experience to good use in the near future.
Assistant trainer Charlie Pike has told us “I was really pleased with Blue Sky Boy’s debut run at Chelmsford and he should’ve learned plenty from that. He’s a likeable sort with an impressive pedigree, and I’m confident he should progress to be a very good horse in time. ”
