This strapping two-year-old colt has an enviable pedigree and looks sure to have a big future ahead of him. Trained by Paul Attwater at Newlands Stables in Upper Lambourn, we can’t wait to see him out on the racecourse to watch him fulfil his potential.
His sire Saxon Warrior went unbeaten as a two-year-old, including a win in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy Stakes. As a three-year-old, he won the 2,000 Guineas and placed in the Irish Derby, Coral-Eclipse and the Irish Champion Stakes, in what was a glittering career that saw him win over £1.1 million in prize money. Since being sent to stud, he has sired the likes of Victoria Road (Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup winner), Lumiere Rock (Multiple Group winner) and Borna (Group 2 Italian Derby winner), along with countless other high-level horses.
His dam Termagant was also a first-class horse, notably winning the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes as a two-year-old. That performance saw her run out a cosy 2½ length winner over her rivals, including the impressive Lillie Langtry (2 x Group 1 winner). Termagant was sired by the top-class Powerscourt, who was a dual Group 1 winner himself. It goes without saying that this exciting colt has the potential to be a superstar if his pedigree is anything to go by!
“He’s a well put together individual and has been impressing with his work at home. He’s from a good family, so I’m optimistic he could have a promising career ahead of him.” Trainer Paul Attwater.
With a fantastic pedigree and good looks to match, we’re sure this colt will give his owners plenty of excellent days out and memorable moments throughout his career.
