By car, by bus or by train, Fakenham has great transport links no matter what mode of transport you wish to arrive by, including by helicopter!

By Road

Just one mile South of town on the B1146 (East Dereham Road) – this is where to get directions from. On race days, follow the AA Yellow Signs that will direct you towards the course.

For Pudding Norton Entrance, please use the postcode NR21 7NA

For the Town Centre/Jewsons Entrance, use NR21 7NY.

Car parking is free (members enclosure £8 per car)

The closest railway stations to Fakenham Racecourse are Kings Lynn (20m) and Norwich (25m).

Where to Get Tickets?

Tickets to races at Fakenham Racecourse can be purchased online up until 8 am on race day and at the gate, subject to availability. If you want to purchase tickets you can do so by following this link

Children under 14 go free when accompanied by a paying adult. Dogs are welcome at the racecourse as long as they are kept on short leads at all times and are well-behaved – only assistance dogs are allowed into restaurants and bars. 

Accessibility

Racegoers with accessible needs can benefit from 2-for-1 tickets (companion goes free). Assistance dogs are permitted at all areas of the racecourse. Accessible car parking is available for all enclosures.

Fakenham Racecourse Enclosures

Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure

Including 11 food and drink outlets, no strict dress code and a great view of the racing, racegoers can find a bit of everything in the Grandstand. Betting shops, a licensed bar and trade stand with access to different viewing areas, and a full view of the Parade Ring can be found here, too.

Course Enclosure

Access the centre of the course and the bottom of the parade ring in the course enclosure. Racegoers here can expect to find bookmakers, food outlets, a licensed bar, the Punjabi Cuisine and accessible viewing areas.

Members Enclosure

Access all areas, including the Prince of Wales Stand Bar, Firth Restaurant and accessible viewing areas.

What to Wear?

There is no formal dress code in place at Fakenham Races, it prides itself on the friendly, casual atmosphere welcoming people of all ages and walks of life. Be comfy, and dress for the weather. 

Food & Drink

There are various food and drink options available at Fakenham across all of the enclosures. So, whether it is dining in a restaurant you are after, local produce, racecourse catering or one of the many other food outlets, there is something for every taste. 

The Fifth Restaurant on the first floor of the Prince of Wales Stand can cater to 40-60 people, but pre-booking is required.

Lancaster Room At The Gallow Sports Centre, two and three-course lunches are available.

The Parade Ring Bar and Punjabi Cuisine is a family-run business bringing racegoers the authentic taste of India with recipes handed down the generations, if curry takes your fancy, this is definitely the place to be. There is also a bar, too.
