How to Get to Sandown Park Racecourse

Arriving by Car

Travelling from London: Take the A3 and follow the brown venue signs for Sandown Park. Leave the A3 for the A307 and continue following the signs towards the racecourse.

Travelling via the M25: Leave the M25 at Junction 10 and follow the A3 towards London. Exit onto the A307 and follow the brown venue signs for Sandown Park.

Drivers using satellite navigation are advised to enter Portsmouth Road rather than the racecourse postcode. This should direct visitors to the main car park, which is situated off the A307 in front of the main entrance.

Free raceday parking is available in the centre of the racecourse and can be accessed from the More Lane entrance. The entrance may close for approximately ten minutes before and after each race while horses are on the course.

Alternatively, visitors can use the main Portsmouth Road car park. Parking in this car park costs £10 and payment must be made by card. Blue Badge holders can use the allocated accessible spaces in this car park free of charge.

Coach parking is available free of charge in the designated area off Portsmouth Road.

Arriving by Train

Esher Railway Station is located next to Sandown Park and is approximately a ten-minute walk from the racecourse entrances.

Regular services connect Esher with London Waterloo, with some journeys taking approximately 25 minutes. Services also connect the station with Woking, Guildford and other destinations to the south.

Premier guests receive exclusive access to the Premier Lounge and can view both winning lines on the racecourse’s round course. The enclosure also includes covered viewing, parade-ring access, betting facilities and a selection of food and drink outlets.

1875 Lounge

The 1875 Lounge is one of Sandown Park’s most exclusive options. It provides a private space away from the main crowds, together with a dedicated bar and first-come, first-served Grandstand seating.

What to Wear

Visitors may bring a picnic, but it must be consumed within the designated Picnic Enclosure beside the track in the Grandstand Enclosure.

Alcohol, glass, cans, sharp objects, tables, chairs, gazebos and barbecues cannot be brought into the racecourse. Non-alcoholic drinks are permitted as part of a picnic, provided they comply with the racecourse’s entry conditions.
