How to Get to Wincanton Racecourse
Arriving by Car
Wincanton Racecourse is situated on the B3081 between Wincanton and Bruton. The B3081 is located just off the A303, which is one of the main routes connecting London with the South West.
Travelling from Bournemouth: Follow signs towards Blandford on the A350. Continue to the traffic lights north of Blandford and turn left towards Sturminster Newton on the A357. Remain on the A357, following signs towards Stalbridge and Wincanton. Once you reach Wincanton town centre, follow signs for the racecourse on the B3081 towards Bruton.
Travelling from Bristol: Follow signs towards Shepton Mallet on the A37. At Shepton Mallet, follow signs towards Castle Cary and Wincanton on the A371. Continue towards Wincanton town centre. The racecourse is approximately one mile outside the town on the B3081 and will be on the left-hand side.
Free parking is available at every race meeting. Accessible parking spaces are also provided in the racecourse car parks for Blue Badge holders.
Traffic can build up before and after major fixtures, so visitors are advised to allow additional time for their journey.
Arriving by Train
The nearest railway station is Templecombe. A complimentary raceday bus service normally operates between Templecombe Station and Wincanton Racecourse, meeting selected trains arriving from Waterloo and Exeter before racing.

Visitors wishing to arrive by helicopter should contact the racecourse office in advance to obtain the approved landing position. Helicopters are not permitted to land inside the racecourse track on the golf course.

Course Enclosure
The Course Enclosure is available on Boxing Day and selected weekend fixtures. It includes a grandstand overlooking the third-last fence, along with a bar and food outlet.
Dogs are permitted in the Course Enclosure provided they are kept on a lead. Picnics may also be brought into this enclosure, although they are not permitted in other areas of the racecourse.
