An Encouraging Effort From Love You Millions At Brighton – Race Report

Love You Millions showed plenty of promise at Brighton over six furlongs on Tuesday 7th October.

Sent off at 40/1 against eleven rivals , Love You Millions emerged sharply from the stalls and showed a bright turn of foot. Her early speed allowed her to lead the field but she did too much too soon and weakened inside the final furlong when a bit short of room, finishing seventh.

After the race, jockey Pierre-Louis Jamin gave us his verdict on the performance:

“She jumped from the gate so well and we were out in front. She has got so much speed, I think she just wants to drop to a quick five furlongs and use the speed she has got. She didn’t really give herself a chance to relax to breathe. Drop her down to five and we’ll see what happens.”

Assistant Trainer Charlie Pike reported the following morning:

“She is sound this morning, which is good. Slightly disappointing , I thought the race would work out better for her. If Pierre could’ve taken a pull , she could have relaxed a little bit more but she is not helping herself at the moment. I think we are going to have to stick to five furlongs for now. We have her in at Brighton next week over five furlongs so hopefully we get in there.”

Love You Millions showed plenty of speed which is certainly promising for the future and we look forward to seeing her out again soon!
