Tony Carroll

Tony Carroll is one of the most experienced and hardworking trainers in British racing, with over 1,400 career winners to his name. Renowned for his skill with sprinters and handicappers, Tony was crowned Champion All-Weather Trainer in the 2024/25 season, proving his ability to consistently deliver results at a high level. 

Tony operates from his well-established base at Cropthorne Farm in Worcestershire, where he consistently produces winners across both the turf and all-weather. He has carved out a successful training career through hard work, dedication, and a deep understanding of the sport. Since taking out his licence in 1994, Tony has built his operation from the ground up, developing a reputation for being one of the most consistent and sharp-eyed trainers in British racing.

Tony’s career reached a major milestone in 2024 when he recorded 106 winners—his best ever total—joining an elite group of trainers to achieve over 100 winners in a calendar year. That same season, he was crowned Champion All-Weather Trainer for the first time, a testament to his consistency and expertise on the synthetic surfaces. With over 1,400 career winners to his name and standout success at tracks like Brighton – where he has sent out more runners than any other trainer – Tony Carroll continues to be a respected and reliable force in the training ranks.
