A Path To Ronda is another exciting five-year-old mare we have acquired, who looks to have an extremely promising future ahead of her. Trained by Jamie Snowden in Upper Lambourn, she made the perfect start to her career when winning a bumper at Uttoxeter in impressive style.
Pedigree-wise, she certainly has the potential to be a superstar. Her sire is dual Group 1 winner Getaway, who has produced multiple Grade 1 winners, including the likes of Verdana Blue, Feronily and Sporting John. Her Dam Dusty Too was a four-time winner from just seven races, whilst A Path To Ronda is the half-sister of two-time Cheltenham Festival winner Simonsig and four-time hurdle/chase winner Dusart.
Sent off as a 16/1 outsider for her bumper debut at Uttoxeter, she showed plenty of promise to run out a cosy winner, with the Racing Post analyst noting “She boasts a useful pedigree and ran out a comfortable winner – she’s an exciting prospect”. Trainer Jamie Snowden is planning to keep A Path To Ronda in bumpers this season, before sending her Novice Hurdling in the 2025/26 season.
“She ran out an impressive winner on debut in a bumper at Uttoxeter and I was really taken by the performance. She’s got an incredible pedigree, and I’ve been thrilled to bits with how she’s been at home. I’m planning on keeping her in bumpers this season, with a Listed bumper at Sandown a possible target for her, before going Novice Hurdling next year.” Trainer Jamie Snowden.
With an exciting pedigree and a win under her belt at the first time of asking, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for A Path To Ronda.
