Lucky Luna is a stunning grey filly with an impressive pedigree to go with her striking looks. She is in training with esteemed flat trainer Richard Hannon in Marlborough (Wiltshire).
Having shown promise in her first two starts, Lucky Luna produced a commanding performance on her third racecourse appearance, making all to win a strong Salisbury novice stakes by half a length and confirming herself as a filly with a very bright future.
The three-year-old is by Lucky Vega, who was a top-class two-year-old, notably winning the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh. He was a highly consistent performer, finishing in the top three in all but two of his races, including placing in a classic, having finished third in the 2,000 Guineas on his first start as a three-year-old. He also finished runner-up in the Middle Park Stakes and the St James’s Palace Stakes, in a career that saw him accumulate over £300,000 in prize money.
