What Is a Free Bet?
How a free bet pays out
Say you place a £10 free bet at 4/1 and it wins. A normal £10 bet would return £50: £40 profit plus your £10 stake. With a free bet you get the £40 profit only, because the £10 stake was never yours.
What to check in the terms
Most free bets come with a minimum odds requirement, an expiry date (often 7 or 30 days) and sometimes a restriction on which markets you can use them on. Check all three before you claim, not after.
