Tiny Rebel was a highly promising three-year-old gelding, who made a promising debut at Southwell in October. Having been in training with Paul Attwater at Newlands Stables in Upper Lambourn, Tiny Rebel unfortunately passed away in April 2025.
Having been sired by top-class sprinter Oasis Dream, who was a three-time Group 1 winner, we were confident Tiny Rebel had a big future ahead of him. His Dam, Wotadoll, was also an excellent sprinter, winning five times in her career, so there was plenty of pace in his pedigree! To complete the impressive pedigree, his dam’s sire Harbour Watch went unbeaten in his short career, winning all three races as a two-year-old, including the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at the Goodwood Festival.
Having made an encouraging debut at Southwell, which saw him chase home the four market leaders, including two of those who already had racecourse experience. He made a promising handicap debut in January 2025, and went even closer the following month, finishing third in a solid run at Southwell.
“Tiny Rebel was a wonderful horse to train and will be deeply missed by all at Newlands. He was a real character and had shown plenty of promise in his races previously – it’s such a shame that we won’t get to see him fulfil his potential.” Trainer Paul Attwater.
