Unknown Journey is an exciting 3-year-old gelding who has shown plenty of promise in his races to date, who looks set for a promising handicap campaign in 2025. Trained by Tony Carroll at Cropthorne Farm in Worcester, Tony is confident Unknown Journey will be in the winners’ enclosure soon enough and he looks set for a big career ahead.
He has an impressive pedigree, having been sired by Inns Of Court, who was a Group 2 winner and two-time Group 1 runner-up in France, amassing almost £500,000 in prize money during his four-year career. His dam’s sire Harbour Watch went unbeaten in his short career, winning all three races as a two-year-old, including the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at the Goodwood Festival.
After a promising debut on the all-weather at Kempton that saw him finish sixth, he put in an improved effort next time out to finish a close fourth on soft ground at Brighton, despite being slowly away at the start. He stayed on strongly in that race, which does suggest he should improve once he is stepped up in trip. He made his handicap debut in early January 2025, showing promise and it looks only a matter of time before he gains his first win.
“He’s a bonny little horse and I saw enough in his previous races to suggest we can enjoy some good days out at the races with him. He’s settled in well to his new surroundings and I look forward to seeing him progress with us.” (Trainer Tony Carroll)
Unknown Journey looks to have an exciting future ahead, and we’re confident we’ll enjoy plenty of great days out with him.
