He is by Victor Ludorum, the brilliant son of Shamardal who lit up the French racing scene with victories in the Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère at two and the Group 1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains at three. His sire line is a powerful blend of speed, class and durability, featuring Shamardal, Giant’s Causeway and the influential mare Helen Street.
Victory Max’s dam, Lady Of The Waves, is a daughter of the exceptional Siyouni, one of Europe’s leading sires and responsible for champions such as St Mark’s Basilica, Sottsass and Laurens. Her pedigree is further strengthened by her dam Blue Sail, a Kingmambo mare from the extraordinary Miesque family, one of the most potent sources of Classic brilliance in the modern Thoroughbred. This female line consistently produces exceptional milers and middle-distance horses with superb temperament and versatility.
