It has been a much busier spell for Racing Club runners, with plenty of action on the track and some very encouraging performances along the way. Lord d’Or, Handlethekettle, Lucky Luna, From Me To You and Magic Runner have all been in action recently, giving their owners plenty to follow and enjoy. Shares are still available in all five, offering a great opportunity to get involved with these promising performers.
As mentioned in a previous round-up, The Bureau Club and Sax Avoidance have also been flying the flag for our VIP syndicates. The Bureau Club produced another fantastic effort at Chepstow, finishing fourth in competitive Class 2 company, while Sax Avoidance ran a very encouraging third on her third start, continuing to show significant progress with each run.
Lord d’Or stepped into handicap company for the first time at Ascot on 5th September, taking his chance in a valuable and competitive Heritage Handicap. He travelled nicely into the contest but did not enjoy the clearest of passages when looking to make his challenge.
Despite that, he stayed on strongly to finish a very creditable fourth. Having already finished runner-up four times this season, this was another performance that underlined his ability and suggested he can be very competitive in valuable handicaps going forward.
Handlethekettle produced a fantastic return to action at Worcester on 4th September, following more than 400 days away from the track. He travelled and jumped smoothly throughout and looked a major threat turning for home before just tiring late on to finish second, ten lengths clear of the remainder.It was a hugely encouraging comeback after such a lengthy absence and should put him spot on for the valuable Silver Trophy at Chepstow next month.
Lucky Luna produced another really encouraging performance when finishing second at Wolverhampton on 1st September. Stepping up in trip proved no issue and she stuck to her task well all the way to the line. Having already shown a tremendous attitude when making all to win at Salisbury earlier in the season, this was another strong effort and there should be plenty more to look forward to.
From Me To You was back in action at Windsor on 7th September, finishing sixth of fourteen. He ran well considering his slow start, making up ground through the contest and sticking to his task well. He has always shown plenty of ability at home and, while things have not always gone his way on the track, we still feel there is more to come from this impressive-looking son of Persian Force.
Our two-time winner Magic Runner returned to Wolverhampton on 1st September, a venue where she has enjoyed some of her best performances. She finished sixth on this occasion, but remains a thoroughly likeable filly who has already given her owners some fantastic days. We will now look for the right opportunity for her to return to her best.
