Changing Lanes is an eye-catching three-year-old bay gelding in training with Grade 1 and Cheltenham Festival-winning trainer Jamie Snowden at Folly House Stables in Lambourn. Rated 83 on the Flat, he finished a neck second on his second appearance and has never finished outside the first four in three starts. He has an exciting juvenile hurdling campaign ahead, with the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival a major long-term target, alongside a number of other valuable contests throughout the season.
By multiple Group-placed and Listed winner Galiway, Changing Lanes has a pedigree that offers an appealing blend of class, stamina and versatility. A son of the great Galileo, Galiway has established himself as a high-class sire, producing talented performers on both the Flat and over jumps. Changing Lanes’ dam, Red Line, is a Listed winner, while the wider pedigree features a host of Group performers, including Lope de Vega, a dual French Classic winner who has gone on to establish himself as one of Europe’s leading sires.
Changing Lanes was purchased by leading bloodstock agent Tom Malone, who has an outstanding reputation for sourcing talented National Hunt prospects. Tom is already well known to Racing Club members, having famously purchased Racing Club star Wendigo and plenty of our other National Hunt stars.
Changing Lanes has a hugely exciting career ahead, with a good level of ability already shown on the Flat, an attractive pedigree and a number of exciting options open to him. He is a fascinating prospect for the months and seasons ahead and one who looks sure to provide his owners with plenty of enjoyment throughout his journey.
