Pigeon Forge is a stunning four-year-old chestnut mare now in training with Grade 1 and Cheltenham Festival winning trainer Emma Lavelle in the beautiful surroundings of Bonita Stables in Wiltshire.
She announced herself as a mare of serious potential when running out a dominant winner of her second Point-to-Point at Necarne, producing an impressive turn of foot to score by ten lengths. That performance showcased her natural ability and marked her as a hugely exciting prospect and a welcome addition to the Racing Club and Bonita Stables team.
By Well Chosen, a proven National Hunt sire known for producing tough and athletic performers, Pigeon Forge is out of Chiltern Hills, a talented and versatile mare who won three times under Rules. Her dam’s sire, Beneficial, was a high-class performer on the Flat, capturing the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot before establishing himself as one of the leading National Hunt stallions of his generation. He went on to sire numerous top-class winners, including Grade 1 stars Realt Mor and Benefficient.
Her pedigree carries exceptional depth and quality throughout. Her second dam Mirazur is the dam of multiple top-level performers including Ferny Hollow , winner of the Champion Bumper (Gr.1) and Christmas Novice Chase (Gr.1), and Mirazur West , a Grade 2 hurdle winner and talented young chaser. This is a family known for producing strong and classy individuals.
