Wendigo has had a fantastic season, highlighted by his Grade 2 John Francome victory at Ayr, and he was a little unlucky at Cheltenham. He is now enjoying a summer break before returning next season, with plans aimed towards races such as the Hennessey and Grand National, likely following a prep run in the Old Roan or the intermediate race at Carlisle.
Handlethekettle is in good form and is pleasing everyone with his work. Jamie has identified some possible races for him towards the end of August and early September.
A Path To Ronda has had a great season, winning two novice hurdles and picking up valuable black type in both a Listed event and a Grade 2. She is now enjoying a summer break before returning for a campaign over novice fences and top-class mares’ hurdles next season.
Jukebox King has had a good season over hurdles and is enjoying his summer holiday in the field with his friends and will be relaxing until around early July. We can look forward to a novice chasing campaign where we should see him at his best.
Legendary Luke has had a great season, winning two novice hurdles as well as being placed in a Grade 2 and a Class 3 under a penalty. He has now been wound down for his summer break and will return to light exercise in July, with the plan to go novice chasing in the autumn.
Pigeon Forge has returned from her holiday looking stronger, more mature and in fantastic condition. With the ground currently so quick and few suitable races available, she’ll be brought back gradually, with an autumn campaign in mind. The plan is for her to return to the racecourse in September.
Brodie’s Boy was disappointing at Kempton, but it was a slowly run race that didn’t suit his style, unlike his good fourth at Newbury. He has come out of the race well.
Blackwaterfoot enjoyed the charity race and has come out of it in good order. We will have to wait for some softer ground before we see him back on the racecourse.
Love Always has been pleasing with her faster work. The plan is for her debut to be over 6f in the first few weeks of August.
Victory Max looks very well and is cantering nicely. We will have more of an idea when he will be ready for his debut in the next few weeks, but Harry Eustace hopes he will have 2-4 runs this year.
Lucky Luna delivered a superb performance to win at Salisbury and has come out of the race well. Richard Hannon is very pleased with her work but doesn’t want to run her on quick ground.

Redbud Sixteen unfortunately couldn’t land the hat-trick at Doncaster on Friday 3rd July, but will now have an easy time of things and freshen up for her next race.
Lord d’Or ran another fine race for a head second at Thirsk on Wednesday 1st July. He has come out of the race in good order and has two options upcoming at Windsor (20th) and Doncaster (23rd).
Karthon suffered a slight setback with an injury to his near fore fetlock joint, and the decision has been made to retire him from racing. We will be looking to find him a forever home in the coming weeks.
Magic Runner is now back into some work after her break. Ruth is hoping to have her ready to return to the racecourse at the start of August.
Denby’s Dream went too quickly at Chepstow on the 8th July and faded in the final furlong to finis . She is a little sore, but nothing concerning.
