Wendigo has returned from his holidays in great order and is enjoying cantering.
Handlethekettle is in good form and returns to action in the 16:15 at Newton Abbot tomorrow, with Isabelle Ryder in the saddle.
A Path To Ronda has returned from her holidays and has started trotting nicely. Unfortunately, she was found to be slightly lame after a blackthorn became lodged in her foot. The thorn has now been removed and she has returned to some walking exercises.
Jukebox King has returned from his holidays in great order and is back trotting as he builds towards an autumn return to action.
Legendary Luke has returned from his holidays in great order and is enjoying cantering.
Pigeon Forge has returned from her holiday looking stronger, more mature and in fantastic condition. With the ground currently so quick and few suitable races available, she’ll be brought back gradually, with an autumn campaign in mind. The plan is for her to return to the racecourse in September/October in 3m handicap hurdles.
Blackwaterfoot following a frustrating campaign in which Blackwaterfoot has had a few setbacks and has not always been easy to keep completely sound, alongside the warm weather making suitable ground difficult to find, we have decided with Charlie Pike that the time is right for him to retire from racing, and we are delighted that he will now enjoy a happy retirement with Niamh Townsend and her family, who already have a very special connection with him.
Love Always is progressing well and has been doing some nice faster work. Ollie Sangster is now considering the right opportunity for her debut, with options at Chepstow (29th) and Southwell (31st).
Victory Max is now doing some faster work alongside other horses. The gelding operation appears to have had a positive effect on his attitude, and he is showing more enthusiasm for his work. Harry Eustace is pleased with him.
Lucky Luna has had an easier few weeks while the ground has been so quick, but is ready to go when the right option arises. She has an entry at Southwell on the 27th.
From Me To You took a nice step forward with a close fourth at Lingfield, showing a good attitude and finishing strongly. Richard Hannon was very pleased with the effort, and he now has entries at Brighton on Monday 24th and Wolverhampton on Wednesday 26th.
Redbud Sixteen is in good order and has an option at Windsor on Monday 24th August.
Lord d’Or has been knocking on the door in all three starts this season, finishing second on each occasion. He has a good opportunity to get his head in front this evening when he lines up in a valuable three-runner novice at Hamilton (17:40), with Callum Rodriguez taking the ride.
Magic Runner has come out of her Ripon race well. She ran with credit for seventh, but was just tapped for toe in the closing stages.
Denby’s Dream is in top form at home and ready to run again. Hopefully, with the recent rain and more forecast next week, there will be some nice options for her on softer ground, which is expected to suit her better.
Red Spirit is doing very well and working nicely alongside other horses. Andrew Balding has been impressed with him and hopes he can make his debut towards the end of September.
