Wendigo has slotted back into is cantering routine and the Folly House team are all very happy with him as Cheltenham approaches.
Handlethekettle has enjoyed his time in the field and has started some light work in the next few days to build towards a return to the track.
A Path To Ronda has come out of her race at Warwick well. Jamie was very pleased with her effort and she will be aimed at the Grade 1 Honeysuckle Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Fairyhouse on the 5th April. She may have a run beforehand under a penalty in a novice.
Jukebox King has received a handicap mark of 110. Kim and Mat are looking at suitable next races for him, with Doncaster and Market Rasen possible options (28th and 3rd).
Legendary Luke has enjoyed an easy week after his good effort in the Haydock Grade 2. Jamie is now planning for his next run and will let us know when he has picked out a suitable target.
Pigeon Forge has been jumping nicely at home and is ready to make her hurdling debut when we get some better ground. She enjoyed seeing some of her owners at the stable visit. She was entered at Huntingdon but the ground was very testing and would not have suited, so she was not declared.
Brodie’s Boy ran well for third at Wolverhampton on Monday, he travelled into the race very well but didn’t finish as strongly as we would have hoped. Tony is going to have him checked over to see if anything maybe holding him back.
Blackwaterfoot is fresh, happy and enjoying his cantering as he builds up to the new flat turf season.
Unknown Journey has come out of his Lingfield race in good order. Tony has entered him at the same track on the 25th.
Love You Millions is comfortable and walking well. The vet is happy with her and she has been returned to Danebury this week. After a discussion with the vet and trainer Charlie Pike, we have decided it is in her best interest to retire her.
Lucky Luna has been reassessed and is now back under saddle. Hopefully she can put her issues behind her and build up to debut at Newbury in April.
From Me To You is impressing Richard and the team with his work. Richard believes he is strong and knowledgeable enough to make his debut early in the season. He has an early entry for a valuable £500,000 contest at York in August.
Rory’s Gold is still cantering nicely and the pace of his work is gradually being increased. The vet will scan him again next week and hopefully this will be his final assessment.
Redbud Sixteen is cantering nicely and her work is being gradually increased. She is taking her work well and the team are pleased with her.
Bosh Soldier travelled well through the race at Chelmsford but couldn’t quicken and faded late. She has come out of the race well and Tony believes he can find an easier option for her next.
Lord d’Or is progressing well and Andrew Balding is very pleased with him. His work is being gradually increased and he is on track to run at the start of the turf season.
Karthon continues to progress well as his fitness improves. Emma is thinking about an all-weather run in April before he begins his hurdling career on better ground at the end of the spring and into the summer.
Magic Runner ran another good race from at Wolverhampton on Monday, in a race that didn’t suit her. There aren’t many races over her optimum trip around at the moment unfortunately.
