Horse Updates 17/04/26

Wendigo will now wind down for his summer holiday after a super first season over fences. Two of his targets for next season are the Coral Gold Cup (Hennessy) at Newbury and The Grand National.

Handlethekettle has started back into some light exercise again as he gets back into shape for the late summer/early autumn.

A Path To Ronda is winding down for her summer holiday after an excellent season. Next season, she will go novice chasing and maybe look at some hurdle races too.

Jukebox King will now go for his summer break following a good season over hurdles. He has been feeling the effects of slightly sore shins, so will not have another run as originally planned. We can now look forward to seeing him over fences next season.

Legendary Luke has come out of his Haydock run well. He ran with credit to finish third and was looked after by Gavin Sheehan once beaten. The race may have proved too sharp a test for him on good ground. He has had a very good season, and we can look forward to seeing him over fences next season.

Pigeon Forge produced an excellent performance for second at Plumpton, jumping nicely and staying on very well. She has come out of the race in good order and all being well, will return to the track at the end of the month/early May.

Brodie’s Boy is now back in work and has recovered well from his bruising.

Blackwaterfoot has been for an away day to Lambourn for a piece of work which was pleasing. He will make his seasonal reappearance in early May all being well.

Unknown Journey is fine and working well at home. There aren’t many suitable races around for him at the moment so we will be patient and wait for the right opportunity.

Love Always is progressing and maturing well. She has had a little cough, which is normal for this time of year so hasn’t had her work stepped up any further. She has enjoyed being out in the sunshine on the grass.

Victory Max is now at the end of his break and looks very well. Harry Eustace is really pleased with him. He has matured, strengthened up and looks great in his coat. He will now build up to make his debut.

Lucky Luna is moving well and has pleased the team at Herridge with her work. She is set to debut in a strong fillies’ maiden (14:32) at Newbury on the 17th April.

From Me To You is well thought of and the Herridge team are really pleased with him. He is set to debut in the first race at Newbury (13:57) on the 17th April.

Redbud Sixteen has had a little touch of colic but has been treated and is fine now. She will build back up for her second start of the season soon, which could come at the end of the month.

Bosh Soldier showed some early promise at Lingfield but faded into tenth. Regrettably, Bosh Soldier has not shown the level of ability we had hoped for, both with George Boughey in Newmarket and more recently following a change of scenery to Tony Carroll. After discussions, it has been decided to enter her in the upcoming May Online Sales, with any proceeds distributed proportionately among owners, while she remains in Tony’s care until sold.

Lord d’Or has had a slight setback with some soreness in his leg, so unfortunately won’t run as planned on Saturday 18th at Newbury. Andrew Balding hopes to have him back in work in the coming weeks.

Karthon has done some nice quick work on the grass and Emma Lavelle would like to run him at Salisbury on the 3rd May.

Magic Runner will now enjoy a break after a busy and successful winter, before she is found some suitable races on the turf.
