Horse Updates 06/03/26

Wendigo has schooled and worked well this week. He has scoped clean and his bloods are good. He will be freshened up now before his big day on Wednesday at Cheltenham.

Handlethekettle is very well, his leg is fine and the latest scan went well. He will start back in work in April and be aimed at Chepstow’s valuable Silver Trophy in October.

A Path To Ronda has had an easy week after her determined victory at Kelso last weekend.

Jukebox King is declared for Warwick on Sunday 8th, making his handicap debut in the 15:10 with Tom Bellamy taking the ride.

Legendary Luke has slotted back into his cantering routine and is in good order. Handicap options at Ascot (29/03/26) and Cheltenham are under consideration (15/04/26).

Pigeon Forge makes her hurdles debut in the 14:10 at Hereford on Saturday 7th, with Liam Harrison taking the ride.

Brodie’s Boy has had a wind operation, which Tony expects will help him finish his races stronger. He is back home and will recover for a couple of weeks.

Blackwaterfoot is fresh, happy and enjoying his cantering as he builds up to the new flat turf season.

Unknown Journey has come out of his Lingfield race in good order. It was an excellent effort and a first win can’t be too far away. He is entered at Wolverhampton on Tuesday 10th.

Love You Millions is comfortable and walking well twice a day. We are in the process of finding her a nice new home.

Lucky Luna has been reassessed and is now back under saddle. The vet is pleased with her progress and, if she continues on this trajectory, Richard and the team can begin to step up her work and start preparing her for a spring return, possibly at Newbury’s April meeting.

From Me To You is impressing Richard and the team with his work. Richard believes he is strong and knowledgeable enough to make his debut early in the season. He has received two more exciting big race entries: the Weatherbys Super Sprint Stakes at Newbury in July, worth £135,218 to the winner, and the Weatherbys Scientific £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes at Doncaster, worth £147,540 to the winner.

Rory’s Gold is still cantering nicely and the pace of his work is gradually being increased. The vet has advised he should continue in this routine for now.

Redbud Sixteen is working very nicely and the team are pleased. She will build up to run next month.

Bosh Soldier improved to finish seventh at Kempton, everybody was pleased and she is expected to continue progressing as she matures.

Lord d’Or is progressing well and Andrew Balding is very pleased with him. His work is being gradually increased and he is on track to run at the start of the turf season in a maiden.

Karthon continues to progress well as his fitness improves. Emma is thinking about an all-weather run in April before he begins his hurdling career on better ground at the end of the spring and into the summer.

Magic Runner is very well and has been enjoying her work at home. The next suitable option for her is a race at Wolverhampton over 1m 1½f for horses rated 46–65 on the 10th March, for which she is entered.
